Hahaha! So funny because I did just that while playing an R3 for my first time at Best Buy! A Tobbaco song is always sexy.
I noticed a lot of people asking about the microKORG, and I just want to put in my 2 cents.
When I was using an R3 right next to a microKORG today, I used the R3 MUCH MUCH more as the keys are easier to use, and over all it just SOUNDS better.
The vocoder is shit on the microKORG in my opinion. The mic that comes with it is horrible, and it just sounds fake.
Go with R3.

I JUST bought it.
I can’t believe it, $526 off eBay. I’m so broke now it’s not even funny. But this has been the keyboard of my dreams simply because it has a built-in vocoder and is all-around a wonderful sounding synth.
I just hope my girlfriend forgives me.

i think you should go head and trade it in… the microkorg’s keys are a little small, and imo the sounds are not quite as raw, but if your cool with that, you should keep ur micro… sux that that the r3 has no bag… hella hard for me to transport w/o hurting it

i think that the words are more coherent on the R3, which would make it better for talkoxing. but i think that a talkbox is prolly the best option, cuz the r3 makes words kinda hard 2 understand.
