The Hammond tone-wheel organ was granted it's Patent on April 15th 1935 and was officially revealed in the RCA building at the one and only Industrial Arts Explosion in Radio City.

The organist of St Patrick's Cathedral, Pietro A.Yon and Fritz Reiner both played this new innovation to keyboard music along with George Gershwin.

That must have been an unforgetable experience for anyone lucky enough to see and hear the great performance and introduction to the Hammond Organ. Gershwin was so knocked out with the new instrument he ordered one straight away.
